This is an OEM Pacific Energy Ceramic Blanket & Gasket Kit that is found in select Pacific Energy “Series A” wood stoves and inserts (see applicable models below). This is a genuine Pacific Energy replacement part that is new in its original packaging.

Pacific Energy Part Number:  80000402 (Replaces old part number SUMM.506875)

Part Description: This kit includes the top ceramic baffle blanket, the left and right ceramic insulation blankets and the baffle gasket.  If your Pacific Energy Summit was made after 2018, you may require a different baffle gasket to be added to this kit. Baffles in wood burning appliances are designed to keep the heat inside the firebox to ensure a clean burn.  They also protect the top of the appliance from over heating.  They also ensure proper air flow inside the stove.  If they are damaged or deteriorating in any way, they should be replaced.

Applicable Pacific Energy Models: PE Summit Series A, PE Summit Classic Series A, PE Alderlea T6 Series A and PE Summit Inserts Series A (check to ensure your appliance is ‘Series A’ by looking at the rating plate on the back of your stove or insert).

Installation Tips: You will need to remove the baffle pin located at the back inside wall of the stove.  Then raise one side of the baffle up above the side rails and the air tube at the back.  Remember to put the baffle gasket on before putting in the baffle and try not to tear the baffle gasket when you lower the baffle on top of it.  The side pieces of insulation need to go in before the baffle is put on top.   It will take some time and patience

Other Notes:  Make sure you put in the baffle pin once everything is in place.  If the pin does not go in, there maybe something not lined up correctly.  It may make sense to purchase an additional PE Summit Baffle Gasket at the same time, as these typically prematurely fail first (before the blankets).
