A fireplace pilot gasket is a small, protective seal that goes over the pilot assembly to help shield it, ensuring the pilot light operates efficiently and safely. It protects the pilot assembly from debris and helps maintain a secure and tight seal, preventing leaks and ensuring the pilot light stays lit to power the main burners. Over time, this gasket can wear out or become brittle, requiring replacement to maintain optimal performance.
